Hi Olly. I'm due to have Hysterscopy done in the next week or so, They tried to do one as an outpatient but I have to come in for a spinal or G.A. The nurse just couldn't get in to my womb no matter how she tried, so I'm a bit worried why they can't get in? Is it my anatomy? or is there something blocking the way. Really worried too. Has this happened to anyone else?
Hi I have thickening of the womb, yours sounds similar a lot of ladies on this chat have had the same problem.Have you had a scan yet?
I had an u/s scan week and a half ago, that when they tried to do procedure in clinic, then decided I needed a hysteroscopy. Just worried why they can't seem to get in there!
After the scan did they not tell you you had a thickening?
This is why I didn't what a hysteroscopy done without a GA,it's more difficult to get in and obviously painful.Let me know when you get a date it can be lots of other things but they put you to the top of the list to rule out cancer.I am struggling to deal with this it is such a waiting game but hopefully we will get through this.xx
Will do Olly, thank you xxx Just feel like I'm in a bubble at the min, everything is up in the air. X
We will get through this xxx
Hi, thought I'd try and reassure anyone that's going in for a hysteroscooy. I had one three weeks ago under GA, whole proceedure took a couple hours (recovery). To be honest, I didn't have much cramping afterwards and a light bleed for a few days. It was more the anaesthetic that took its toll on me. They gave me a D n C and collected polyps from womb. I'm 48, four years after menopause, started to blleed again. I'll find results out this week. Hopefully, all will be well.
Hi.
I had one a few weeks ago under GA, I also had a large lump removed from my cervix and quiet a few internal stitches but I felt no pain after at all, I was completely fine, just took me about 4 days to get over the GA, just had a nice rest in bed as it made me a little light headed and tired but that was it. A bit of bleeding but nothing major.
you will be fine xx
