urgent referral wait

hi, i have posted previously about this but with no replies, i was urgently reffered to an ent after being shrugged off by the gp multiple times months back and it has been a week since the referal and i have had no appointment letter, i am going away next week.. what do i do?! its worrying me sick.

    Sorry to hear you are going through this worrying time, I can empathise as just coming to the end of tests etc and have my appointment with the consultant for diagnosis on Tuesday.

    When I was first referred to the hospital on the 2 week wait I had a letter emailed to me from my GP surgery, on it there was a number to call if I had not had a call for an appointment after 48 hrs. I did call after the required time and was told it had been triaged. 2 days later I had another call with my appointment for the following day.

    If you didn't get anything like this then maybe call your local hospital and ask to speak to the referrals/booking team.

    Can you ring the ENT department at the hospital maybe, or see if they have 2 week urgent referral department, that's who I contacted. Good luck x
