Gynecological cancer

Had an internal scan 3 weeks ago which was abnormal and I'm bleeding irregularly so was fast tracked to see the consultant. Last Wednesday I had a hysteroscopy which was absolutely horrendous and barbaric, god knows why they don't do it under anesthetic anymore! I also had bloods raken

Anyway it's day 8 and I still haven't heard anything about my biopsies and bloods, usually any test results appear on my NHS online account, I didn't expect the biopsy results to be on but I did expect the blood test results by now.

I'm absolutely terrified, I don't know whether to phone the pathway navigator nurse, just don't want to feel stupid and start blubbering over the phone.

I'm just frightened, the not knowing is taking its toll

  • Welcome to the forum Sweeps although I'm sorry you haven't had your blood test results back just yet.

The pandemic may be impacting on how quickly they are being processed but fingers crossed they, and your biopsy results, won't take too long to come through and they bring good news.

If you're really worried, there's no harm in getting in touch with your GP or pathway nurse navigator for an update.

Our members know how challenging this time can be so hopefully you'll receive some support and advice from them soon.

    Kind regards,
