Itching & shooting pain in nipple area.Anyone else had this?

Hi All,

I came across this chat through google, I've been having a lot of pain in my breast and recently started getting shooting pains in my nipple and itching. My mum has suffered with breast cancer twice now first in 2016 and also in 2020.

ive been a bit concerned about it but my Doctor says to take ibuprofen for 2-3 weeks. 
 

not sure how I feel about that response?

    Exactly the same here. Apparently that's the advice from the breast clinic in the first instance. I did have an examination at the Dr's tho. I did as they suggested with no effect so I now have an appointment at the breast clinic to be seen within 2 weeks of my referral. If the ibuprofen isn't working do contact your gp again.
