Hi all,
I'm new to the forum so please bare with me as it may be a long one. Basically I found a new mole about 6 weeks ago on my stomach (I check my skin monthly as my mum and grandad have had skin cancer I'm also very fair skinned and lots of freckles) I noticed this new mole and it looked different to some of my other moles, it's not symmetrical and is a mix of a tan and a darker brown some of it is flat and some is raised. Saw the gp yesterday and he looked with a scope and said he was a little concerned about a little bit coming off of it and what looks like another bit forming it is only 2.6mm. So he took a picture with a measuring tape above it and said he will see me again in 6 weeks and if it has grown or changed he will do a referral. Is this normal? I'm relieved that he isn't instantly sending me for a referral however I am abit anxious that I have to wait another 6 weeks. As I say this mole has only been there for 6 weeks. I'm just a little bit confused at the moment so any advice is much appreciated. Just to add I am 28 years old.
Thank you
