Persistent diarrhea

Hi I have been experiencing persistent diarrhea after everything I eat for about a week now I have been to the gp and she has prescribed codeine to stop the bm and said to make another appointment if this does not clear up. I am just concerned that this may a sign or symptom of something more serious

    Hello Janeki, 

    I hope that the codeine the doctor prescribed will do the trick but if that fails I would do as your doctor suggested and make another appointment. Don't worry about it too much - you are in good hands with the GP and I am sure they will be able to help you deal with that.
