Hard and immovable lymph node?

Hello,

First of all, I'd like to tell you all that I am a huge hypochondriac. I have recently been to the doctors two times in the last two months. First, because I thought I had a swollen lymph node in my neck (turns out it's totally fine), and secondly for skin thing. Now, I have another problem: yesterday I touched my ear, and just by the tragus part, I felt a hard tiny mass.

This mass, feels like a tiny ball, the size of a small pea, but what worries me is that its rock hard, and immovable. You can't tell anything's there just by looking, and even feeling it its quite hard. But it's there, and searching in google has been the worst. I have no other symptoms (night sweats, fever, weight loss), just this tiny immovable mass in my ear.

I've read in this forum that many people went to the doctors for something like this, and it turned out to be nothing.

I am a 22 year old male, healthy (non smoker, don't drink alcohol or take any other drugs either).

Thanks, hope some of you can help me.

xx

Edit: I remembered to say that I have felt it before (just don't remember when) and it hasn't grown in size.

  • Hello WorriedEyes98,

The best thing to do really if you are worried about this hard and immovable lymph node is to go and see your doctor and mention that this is making you anxious. Your doctor will be in the best position to tell you more and to give you the reassurance you need.
