Hi there I'm also waiting for core breast biopsy results,should have had them last week but got a call saying that the MDT wanted sent to another lab for another check,, I'm worried,has anyone had this delay happen to them ..
Hi, I'm all new to this too and waiting for my biopsy results which were taken last Thursday - my follow up appointment is this Thursday - the waiting is just awful. Ive just found this site im really worried went 11months without a period only 2 have the worst 1 i have ever had in all my life,im 50years old peri menapausal.i had my scan and hyperoscopy 2weeks ago was told no polops or cysts but my lining og my womb is 24.9mm they took the biopsy but i wasnt told what they are looking for,to say im worried is an understatement.xx
It's really shocking to actually see how many people are going the same worries and emotions at the same time, it really puts everything else into perspective.
ive actually had a little positive news - the hospital called me to say they were almost certain my lump was nothing to worry about and was a fibrodeoma (not spelt right). They want me to have a vacuum assisted biopsy - which takes a larger section of tissue to analyse. They are only doing this as I have quite a significant family history - nana, mum and sister - and they just want to be double sure. So, not quite out of the woods but I feel a little less panicked than I did.
To say I was surprised is a understatement but it just goes to show that not every investigation has a negative outcome - despite the game our minds play - sending you some positive thoughts. Xx
Oh me too - full results tomorrow afternoon. The GP phoned to say it's melanoma but no detail at all in the letter so obviously nervous about exactly what I have. Have made the classic error of googling melanoma and assuming the worst. I just need to think of the right questions to ask when they start using all of those 'cancer' words I never thought I would need. I wish you the very best. Helps to talk on here as partner cannot talk about things llike this.
I was diagnosed with a sarcoma 3 weeks ago abs a ct scan has shown a nodule in my lung, in now have to have a PET scan and an MRI scan tomorrow, I've been really positive until today has a meltdown as I feel so let down with my GP practice as for 2 years they said my lump was a cyst I'm feeling frantic
