Appointment changed from face to face to telephone call ???

Hey everyone,

I had an excisional biopsy of my right inguinal lymph node 2 weeks ago tomorrow. At the time I was given a face to face appointment date for 2 weeks time for 29th july. Today I recieved a voicemail from the hospital informing me that this consultation would now be over the phone as apposed to face to face. After my procedure I was told by the surgeon results would take 2 weeks and then later 2-4 weeks by a different nurse?

Trying to not get too ahead of myself and read this as a  positive thing as I know hospitals are still carrying this out due to covid. Has anyone else experienced this recently ?

Any advice/ experience would be much appreciated, Mind is going crazy. Thanks in advance!!

  • Hi,

You really can't tell what this change indicates. It could be good news or it could be that they want to arrange further tests (especially if the biopsy was inconclusive). Hopefully it will be good news but I'm afraid you will have to sit tight a little longer for the appointment. Good luck,
