NRT Side effects?

Hello all. I hope you're all alright. 
 

I quit smoking two weeks ago as the overwhelming anxiety I had over oral cancer was taking over my life. I'm using Nicorette QuickMist (1mg) and the patches (25mg) and have been for the stated time above. 
 

I recently had a cold and my gland is still sore, nearly 11 days after my cold left, is this a concern of oral cancer or is it a side effect of the QuickMist? It's on the left side and only hurts a little when I swallow and depending on which way my head is turned. 
 

I'm 28f currently 21w pregnant.

  • Well done for making the decision to quit smoking Shiv although I'm sorry for the worry your current symptoms are causing.

    If you're concerned this may be a side effect of the NRTs, maybe you could have a quick word with your local pharmacist and get their thoughts on this? It may also be worth having a chat with your GP as they will be able to offer you a lot support and guidance on the safest way to stop smoking during pregnancy. 

    I hope you're able to find out more soon and that these tips (at the bottom of the page) will come in useful as well.
