Cin3 severe pre cancerous cells found and breast lump

Hello....

Just a few months ago I had some HPV found in my smear so had a loop treatment the biopsy came back with cin3 severe and the nurse advise we were lucky as they were pre cancerous.

Anyways I've now discovered a pea like shaped lump above my right breast. I've never had anything like this before and have no idea what it could be, my eldest child is 6 so nothing breast feeding related...

I only found it today so guessing I should wait a few days to see if it goes away before making an appointment. Just wondered if anyone had anything like this? I did a quick google search (but wish I didn't) as I've read about the connection in HPV and breast cancer.

  • Hi Hols32nicole and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry about the lump you've discovered above your breast. It's always a bit scary when coming across unexplained lumps and bumps but if it doesn't go away on its own do be sure to book in with your GP to get this checked. Hopefully it won't be any cause for concern but it's always good to get anything out of the ordinary looked out, if only for your own peace of mind.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar situation will offer their support and advice to you soon but if you'd like to have a chat in more detail about what you've read online about HPV and breast cancer then our team of cancer nurses are available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Kind regards,
