It's completely understandable to be thinking and feeling this way when all this is going on but try not to read too much in to this if you can. Always easier said than done I know but sometimes a lot of tests need to be carried out before the doctors can diagnose and tell you what you're dealing with.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in this position will share their experiences and advice with you soon but in the meantime, I hope the tips and advice in this article will help you whilst you wait.

Hi LJKV22, I know where you are coming from as I am currently going through similar

I had an MRI a couple weeks ago which found a 12cm borderline cyst on my left ovary and a 2cm (or so) on my right

I have been referred to an oncologist now for further blood tests but I've been told that it definitely needs to come out via surgery! 

I too feel like I am waiting on tenterhooks for further results. I have my first appointment with the gyne oncologist this Thursday and he also wants a CA125 doing so hopefully I will learn more then

Sorry to hear you also have all this worry going on, it's horrible waiting for news but I keep telling myself at least I am being checked out, which is better than being left or misdiagnosed.

I have had all the necessary tests now and have the follow up appointment with the consultant tomorrow.....fingers crossed.

I hope your appointment on Thursday goes ok for you, and you have a clearer idea on what's going on.

Hi, my wife (in her early 50's) has just had a hysterectomy (coming out of hospital today) to remove 12cm3 fibroid which turned out to be a cyst on her right ovary - we only found out yesterday through the surgeon talking us thru the operation. My wife was really upbeat first day, feeling 100% better. 
 

Her only concern now is it's a cyst and not a fibroid, the level of testing has increased - biopsy to check all areas of the womb, peritoneal fluid, lung, bowel, bloods (CA125), cyst etc. I believe this to be a massive plus as she will able to live a full life once the results come back knowing where stands. 
 

The bit before pre op and a possible month long wait for all the test results to come through is the hardest part - my wife has been anxious through these stages. The upside now is she looks and feels fantastic albeit with a long recovery, mobility will be back, bloating has gone, brain fog seems better, no migraines - this operation will massively impact her life for the better, new woman status. 

I have found comfort in your stories - I've been frantically Googling Borderline and Cystadenoma cysts as I know nothing about them. I can't believe how young some are and the different sizes of cyst - it's shocking how these cysts and fibroids affect mobility and general life. A womans body is very complex and beautiful thing. I wish you all best on your journey.
