Throat issues for a while

Hey

30, male, non smoker and non drinker.

So my throat has been in trouble for the past 8ish months. Its always sore, numb, heavy, dry, got shallow issues, sometimes food gets stuck and it feels like I cant shallow with the back of my mouth... my anxiety has been working over time.

I had a endoscope last November to check for GERD which was confirmed but I've not had GERD issues for around 3 months.

When I bring it up with my GP they say it can be related to my weight and GERD.

My head keeps saying it's cancer and I'm losing sleep over it. My GP is back logged till September.

Can it develop that fast after a endoscope?

  • Hello AnxietyMajor and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry for the worry this is causing but unfortunately no-one here can really answer this question. I'm not sure if you have more than one doctor at your GP surgery but if you do, maybe you could see if there are any earlier appointments available with them so you can talk things through and get a second opinion?

I really do hope you're able to get some answers and peace of mind over this soon but until then I hope these tips and techniques will help keep your anxiety at bay.

    Kind regards,
