Hi I have raised CA125 48.I have a appointment on Monday for scan,hysteroscopy and biopsy bad stomach pains and bad indigestion.I am in bits like yourself I have took a week off work as I am so emotional thinking and convinced it's Ovarian cancer.How do we cope with all the emotions?

Im so sorry to hear of your situation too. 

Im convinced too and keep googling it. Ive got all the symptoms so am so scared , driving myself mad. 

I nearly took time off too but instead today i have found it had helped distract me. See how you get on, maybe do half days, if you are working from home maybe?

Why the hysteroscopy and biopsy on your first appointment or have you already had a scan?

Find ways to distract yourself.  Do you have support at home? I have my husband but i think im depressing him too so am trying to be strong in front of him ... trying is the word!

Hi thanks for replying.Well that is my concern I am having a scan first then hysteroscopy and biopsy strange,I had a examination at the doctors maybe she seen something I don't know.Have you had a hysteroscopy I have been told to take pain killers but some people are put to sleep?My doctor suggested I take the week off as I am so emotional.Do you get quite emotional?

I have googled Everything and a lot are saying because CA125 is raised it could well be something other than cancer,but you can't help thinking the worst can you?Have you got a appointment date yet?

I read up on hysteroscopy, its basically a camera on thin tube to look inside you, which is a good thing so they get a good view in there.

Did you have a problem with bleeding?

Ive had a cystoscopy before which wasvthe same thing  really tiny thin wire with camera on it put inside my bladder. Was uncomfortable but not really painful.  I was awake during the procedure.  You will be fine with it, dont worry. Paracetamol probably coz the nip of the biopsy might hurt for a second,  it did when they did my bladder cystoscopy biopsy, but not much.  Its more the thought of it thst is scarey but try to relax right now, the test will be fine.

I guess it depends on what symproms  are, to what approach they decide to take. id rather they did it all at once aswell to be honest , at least you don't gottakeep waiting between appointmentsfor each investigation.  

Your ca125 isn't that high actually so hopefully j7st cyst or fibroid or something like that.

Yeah my gp said (over the phone!) That she had to tell me that it could be cancer but that it could also just be other things like cysts, endometriosis,  fibroids or just menstrual cycle made the test high! Who knows. 

Lets try to keep busy, stay positive,  keep reminding ourselves to be positive.  

My scan is on Wed this week. Yes i am really scared but keeping busy! 

Poor husbands,  im sure they are just as worried as we are.

Hi Sonia,thanks for your reply.I have had a problem with bleeding they give me some tablets to stop it but didn't work,have you had the same problem?

I am really worried as I am 55 and menopausal which can be a high risk for Ovarian cancer,it's the waiting and not knowing isn't it?I feel a bit better now you said it wasn't painful just uncomfortable,how long do you have to wait for your biopsy results?

I have had oonly spotting recently between periods and they are getting heavier. I thought its just menopause. 

Had my scan,  waiting to hear from gynaecology team. Waiting is the worst.

Biopsy results should not take too long, especially if they find something.  Mine was quick n fine.

Hi I am starting to wonder if I could be peri menopausal I actually thought I was in menopause but not sure now and this can raise CA125 levels.I hope and pray that's all it is.Where you awake for your Biopsy?I am having my scan Monday as for the hysteroscopy I want a G A I Suffer extreme anxiety and have trouble with smears and never given birth naturally and have read horrific stories.

Hiya I have very similar symptoms to you Maple - bloating, discharge, frequent urination throughout the day

I had an MRI just over a week ago which found a large cyst on each ovary the radiographer said but I am still waiting my test results. I had the CA125 test done which come back at 48 (not sure if it's high or not)..

I have a call later on today with my gynecologist who is going to go over the test results and what that means moving forward for me. I've basically prepared myself mentally for surgery so we'll see!

Sorry to hear your troubles are similar to mime. It is worrying i know. 

The normal range is up to 35 or 40 i think. So you are only very slightly high. Mine is 87.

I had results from ultrasonic saying ive git a small cyst. Gp said i still need to go to see gynae because they dont know whats caused my rsised ca125.

I pray your phone call with gynaecologist went okay todsy.
