I'm feeling so anxious I don't know where to turn to!
Last week I found a small lump at the top of my left breast. (I said felt about the same size as my flat finger tip). Felt quite smooth and mobile, my mum felt it and confirmed she had the same when she was younger. (I'm 27, no history of BC or cancer in the family).
Because of my anxiety, I decided to go private and have it looked at straight away. The consultant examined it and was pretty sure it was fibroadeoma. I had an ultrasound and the Dr said mainly looked okay, couple of things slightly different then usual but didn't seem too concerned.
The consultant showed me the images and looked like a oval dark patch, no strange edges etc, said there were some small cysts inside but again not concerned. Had a core biopsy done though just to be sure.
The Consultant seemed quite sure that's what it was and would need no further treatment. I'm going in to get my results on Friday. However I've been reading so many posts on here where people's Dr's had said the same thing and it turned out to be something else! I'm terrified I'll need surgery to remove it or have more tests! I'm awful around hospitals and needles so I'm freaking out.
Any advice or similar stories would be greatly appreciated please!
