Not pea but larger than a grain of rice on /in the bottom LT

Hi everyone,

I saw my GP yesterday after a week of dull ache in the scrotum/left testicle and when I checked my testicles I found that there is a tiny lump larger than a grain of rice but smaller than a pea on/in the bottom (not the back) of my left testcile.

My GP gave me a strong antibiotic but also has requited ultrasound.

I have not asked him any questions as I was quite confident that it is not something serious but my GP told me not to worry as it could be vein or ebid.. (word).

The antibiotic is Ciprofloxacine 500mg twice a day and was told if the pain does not go away after the course then I should see my GP again.

there is constant dull pain in the left testicle that rediates to groin.

What do you think and has anyone experienced anything like that and was something serious?

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently found a lump. You've done exactly the right thing in getting it checked with your GP.

It sounds like your GP is covering all bases with prescribing antibiotics in case it is an infection as well as ordering an ultrasound to get a better look at what is going on.

We know that it can be an anxious time waiting for tests. Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for the appointment but if you'd like to chat with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them. I'm sure they will be able to offer some information and support whilst you're waiting for the appointment. They're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
