Clarification

Hiya, I've recently been having multiple issues regarding bleeding and pain. After visiting my GP, I was referred via fast track for an ultrasound and transvaginal scan. A few days later I had a colposcopy and several biopsies were taken.

I rang my GP today to find out the results of my ultrasounds and they've told me that they've both come back normal.

Does that mean everything's ok and that is not cancer? But if so, then why did they need to take biopsies?

I'm really confused at the minute as it was only the receptionist that passed on the information and told me that my GP would ring me next week as planned.

Thank you for any help XX

  • Hello Halebail

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some ongoing health problems recently. It's understandable that you're feeling confused and anxious about things.

I'm glad to hear that your recent ultrasound didn't raise any concerns. Presumably, you're still waiting on the biopsy results as these can take a little longer.

We know that waiting for information and results can be a worrying time. You mention that you already have a telephone appointment booked with the GP for this coming week and hopefully they will be able to give you some answers and reassurance about things.

I do hope that things settle and improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
