Hi there I'm just looking for some reassurance. I had some PCB so went to my doc who thought he could see ectropion and referred me for colposcopy. I rang colposcopy who said it would be a long wait so in the mean time I paid for a private smear, and the doc who did it chased up my colp referral and got me on the 2ww. 

My smear came back clear and no sign of high risk HPV. 

I went for my colposcopy and she said she could see a large ectropion which was the likely cause of my bleeding and she cauterised it. She also said there was an area highlighting and some mosaicing, that it was probably the ectropion receding but she took punch biopsies to check for precancerous changes. I asked her if it was cancer and she said no, cancer doesn't look like this. 

My question really is has anyone else had areas highlight and/or mosaicing if its just an ectropion?? 

I still have to wait another 2-3 weeks for my biopsy result. She sounded very confident it wasn't cancer but I have health anxiety and keep obsessing over it.
