Same Smear Results 3 years running. Anyone else had this?

I had my first smear 3 years ago. High Risk HPV was found & borderline changes so I was sent for a colposcopy & told to come back in a year for a repeat smear. I had the same results and told to come back again in a year I've just had my results this morning from my 3rd smear and they are the same as the previous 2 years and I'm to book another colposcopy. Has anyone experienced this? I was hoping for a normal result and not sure if they will offer me treatment as it's been 3 years of the same result

    I'm sorry to hear that your recent cervical screening showed that there was still HPV with some cell changes identified. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about things. 

    There's lots of information on the Jo's Trust website that you may find helpful to read through. It's difficult for us to say what they may say at the colposcopy appointment but do let them know your concerns - I'm sure they will be happy to try and put your mind at ease about things. 

    I hope that you don't have to wait too long for the appointment and that the team are able to resolve things for you.
