Endometrial polyps and thickened endometrium

Can anyone give some advice on what to do regarding appointments

Im 34 with 3 children. so i had a TVS back in april due to heavy bleeding and becoming aneamic. They said i had one small polyp. I went to have hysteroscopy in june however it was unsucessful as they couldnt get into my cervix. They arranged for me to have another scan to see if the polyp had gone and if it was worth having the hysteroscopy under GA.

i had the scan friday which now revealed numerous large polyps the largest states it is 14mm x 10mm ( i didnt think this would even be classed as large it seems so small ) however they also found i have a thickened endometrium of 17mm.

i was due to go back today to see the dr, and as i was on my way they cancelled my appointment. They are now saying they cant fit me in for another 4 week just to see the dr again.

i am so worried that in them 4 weeks things may get worse, how quick has other peoples experiances been? Should i not be seen under the 2 week rule considering the worsening scan?

i am stressing myself out with worry

thanks

  • Hello Christinax87x

I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some health concerns at the moment. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about things.

Have you spoken to your GP or the Consultant's secretary since the appointment was rearranged? If not then I'd suggest giving them a call in the first instance to raise your concerns as they should have access to your medical history. Alternatively, if you'd like to speak to one of our nurses for some advice and support you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

I hope that you have some reassurance soon.

    Best wishes,
