I'm also 48 and my periods ended 2017. Iv since been bleeding, a few days over last year and 9 days thus year. I went in on Thursday (15th) for a D & C and got thickened lining and polyps removed, I get the results in 3 weeks. Please try not to panic as there is still a strong possibility that your womb still might thicken because of hormones. Plus with your history of endometriosis, hormones and menopause can cause havoc. Hopefully all will be good, keep a diary if you bleed much. Try and stay calm to meet one hurdle at a time

having lost my dad 6 weeks ago. My stress levels aren't great. I feel so sick. Not sure what I will find out at the drs today x

So sorry for the loss of ur dad, heartbreaking. Just imagine ur dad holding ur hand today and getting strength from him.

Your stress must b through the roof. I'll b thinking of u today, hope all goes well.

Thank you so much. My husband is going with me. I'm not telling my teenage daughter anything yet or my mum or family. It's hard to tell if the stress is making it worse. Feel sick, keep going to the toilet, period pains 

Sometimes we need to process stuff for ourselves first without added fuss. Stress def affects us physically n ur period pains r prob a result of this. I've tried rescue remedy, it's v good. Take an hour at a time, hopefully at the end of the day, ul b sighing with relief with a wee cup of tea

Back from dr and examination. She said she could see bits of blood coming from uterus or womb which looked ok. Nothing alarmed her. Took bloods ( I had them in March which were fine) will phone me tomorrow or Thursday with results and then see if gynae want to see me. It could be my hormones still fluctuating. I'm still really worried as still got cramps and spotting 

You'll probably b sent for an internal scan. It's not painful and doc might show u lining of your womb on the screen. It's good that your doctor wasn't alarmed and they seem to be quick enough on your case. It's natural that u feel sick with worry. Remember ur also coping with grief as well, so dnt be hard on yourself.
