Hi. 

I have been referred for a CT Scan as the hospital identified a 'small change' in my lung following a chest xray. The consultant's referral letter states that this is most likely nothing to be worried about. However, I am a little concerned. 

Should I take the consultant's word in the letter that it is most likely nothing serious? Or is this something that they would say in every referral, regardless of whether they thought the matter was serious or not?
