Enlarged lymph nodes in 3 year old

Hello.

My daughter is 3 and she has had enlarged lymph nodes to her neck for about 6 months. Each time I take her to the GP they say it's due to infection. Then about 2 months ago I noticed a large one to her left arm pit. It was visible wheb she lifted her arms. Took her back to the Gp who said...viral.

7 weeks ago I noticed a large lymph node to her right groin. She has eczema so thought it might have been reactive to that. However, her skin has cleared and it's still there. It's approx 1.5cm, hard and painless.

I took her to the gp this week and she shared my concerns. She said it's likely nothing to worry about but will refer her to peads.

Anyone else who has been through this. How long did you wait? And what were the next steps re test?

  • Hey

my son is nearly 2 years old and he has about 4 movable lumps in his neck same side all together and I noticed them after he had a viral infection in March he got referred to the paediatrician after the doctor I seen said wait 4 weeks see if they go and they did not go so she said she wasn't overly concerned but would refer him if that's what I wanted I said yes! I finally got a letter last week to say I've been referred after over 12 weeks waiting! The hospital has yet to ring me to book the appointment hopefully get a phone call next week if not I'll be ringing them I've been going out of my mind with worry
