Going out of my mind with worry and I was hoping to find someone in a similar situation.

I have been trying for a baby for over a year so I've been referred to a fertility clinic. I'm 29 and have no children. I had an internal ultrasound scan in February and was told everything was ok.

I went to a specialist clinic today and had another internal scan. This time, I was told my uterus lining is alarmingly thick. It is 23mm. I have been told to book a biopsy appointment to 'rule out anything sinister'. Not the most reassuring thing to hear!!

Last month I had a clear smear test result. I have been having issues with my periods being very irregular, long and very light (basically spotting). 
 

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? All the other posts mentioned that their bleeds were heavy.
