Hi I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place but I'm not sure where or who to ask for advice, I'm so worried about my boyfriend and father of my son, he's 27 years old and although young there is a strong cancer gene on his mums side of the family that nearly every member of that family has developed cancer.. the women all breast and the men have all gotten different types.. lymphoma being one .. For the past 2 years he's had really bad night sweats.. we can't even sleep in the bed together anymore, he sleeps in boxers only and the bed - duvet, sheet, pillow case, mattress are all soaked to the point we would wake up lying in dampness, he's been sleeping on the couch with just a duvet and the couch is soaking through there's a strong smell of vinegar left too.. not that I know if that means anything..from the start of symptoms begining he's gradullay lost about 2 stone and seems to be maintaining a weight of around 11st for a while now which is a healthy weight but for him his face is thin now .. hes always so tired but he started a new job 2 years ago which is 12 hour shift work including nights so he doesn't have a proper sleeping pattern, When it all started I eventually convinced him to go to the doctor who did bloods and sent him for a chest xray which was normal and they said he was fine, He didn't go back but then the stomach pain started throughout lockdown, he gets attacks of sharp pain and his stomach will go rock hard for the rest of the day as the pain usually last 24hours he cant even walk when it happens, Hes been to a&e twice when it was happneing but both times after waiting over 18hours to be seen he came home without being seen, He went back to the gp today who told him hes extremely concerned about the night sweats and will be in touch in a few weeks when he sorts tests...He didn't do any bloods in there, didnt check blood sugar , didn't do a urine sample ,any referrals for a chest xray just that we have to wait weeks to hear back ... The past week the sweating has been worse then usual and when I googled ways to help night sweats a public forum all about lymphoma came up and I'm so scared, If it were lymphoma by now there surely would been at least one palpable lymph node by now ? Or the fact he has stomach pain could it be in his stomach so we would have no way of knowing ? He doesnt ever have heartburn or acid reflux and he doesnt have toilet problems, I'm so worried for him , is there any one else who experienced night sweats that wasn't malignancy related
