Hi,

I'm not sure what to do... Last week I found a firm lump in my right breast. It felt firm but moved slightly between fingers. I did panic and went to doctors the day after who said anyone with a breast lump is referred for the urgent 2 week referral to the best clinic.

I've been driving myself mad worrying, googling, and poking and prodding the lump - to the point where a couple of days ago, I pressed a little too hard. I had a sudden intense pain for a few minutes and then it's been tender since. I've now convinced myself it was a large cyst that I've popped and the intense pain was the fluid draining out. I haven't been able to feel much since with it being painful but I'm now worrying that I will be taking up an appointment that someone else will be able to have.. Someone that really needs it. I hate the thought of wasting their time as well.

I'm not sure what to do and I know most would say keep the appointment just in case... If probably say the same if it was someone else. I think I should of been less hasty in going to the doctors and monitored it myself for a few weeks. 

What would you do?
