Ovarian Cancer in 20s

Hi,

I expect you see many posts like these concerned about cancer symptoms. I am sorry if this is not the right place to post.

I am concerned that I am experiencing symptoms of Ovarian Cancer. Seems unlikely at age 26 ... but I am an endometriosis sufferer anyway and feel because of this I am very in tune with my 'normal'.

For the last 3 months I have has persistent pain around my ovaries, mostly the left. I have also had random bleeding outside my periods. My ovulation pain has gone crazy.

Didn't think much of all this until a few weeks ago when I started to feel persistently bloated and nauseous. I never feel hungry, I do eat, but it results in painful bloating a persistent burping. According to my parter I am also burping in my sleep. I need to pee all the time but when I do very little actually comes out. I have also had a stubborn rash on either side of my neck for the last 4 months or so. Now I have a swollen lymph node in my pelvis on the left side. I have lost weight but gained an inch on my stomach. I also feel dizzy everytime I stand up.

I am not looking for medical advice and have contacted my Dr. I haven't mentioned my worry about Cancer but they don't seem to be taking the situation very seriously.

I don't know what to do. I feel like I am being crazy but I can't find any other reason for these symptoms.

Has anyone been through similar?

Thank you

  • Hello Whisjx and welcome to the forum.

I'm very sorry to read of the symptoms you've been experiencing. It sounds like it's been very tough for you over the last 3 months but I'm glad you've got in touch with your GP.

As some of our members have found out, it can be very frustrating when you feel like you're not being listened to or being taken seriously, so I'm sure you'll receive some support and advice from them soon but in the meantime, if you have more than one GP at your surgery, you could try getting a second opinion.

Fingers crossed you're able to get some answers and peace of mind over this soon Whisjx.

    Kind regards,
