Worried sick ive got bowel cancer

Hi

I've been hovering over posts for weeks now too scared to post

I had baby number six 9 months ago I suffered really bad with constipation the last few months I started losing some white stuff when I went the loo and the last few weeks lots of mucus which was mostly just clear fluid and bits of blood when I wiped but it was red like piles

I've had no major blood loss but thought I'd get it checked out thinking maybe it was an infected pile but Dr did a check and said no piles and everything looked healthy down there. She took bloods and asked me to do a stool sample my bloods came back clear but still waiting on sample

I cant sleep at night worrying sick I know I should ring to check on the results but I cant bring myself to make the call. The last 2 days I've had no blood and very little mucus

I have spent so many hours asking Dr Google things

I caught hsv1 (herpes) from a coldsore from my partner years ago and have never had another out break since but when I had my 1st covid vaccine it triggered one and I get the blisters around my bum and this is when I can think back to when all this started so im trying to convince myself its something to do with that and not bowel cancer

I'm 42 and have no other symptoms ie weight loss any pain looking for anyone with symptoms like mine and would the bloods have picked anything up she did a full blood count kidney function and an inflammatory test

Thanks for reading

  • I'm sorry for the worry this is causing Lifesworrier.

I know it's tough, but do try and resist consulting Dr Google. The information given is usually quite general so it won't be able to give you the answers you're seeking. Also, this doctor has a tendency to actually increase any worry or anxiety you have, which isn't what you need right now.

Hopefully you'll hear back from some of our members who have found themselves in a similar situation soon but it sounds encouraging that your symptoms have lessened and your bloods have come back clear.

We'll have our fingers crossed the poo sample will bring good news as well.

    Kind regards,
