I had a CT scan and after 10 days heard nothing, phoned the hospital and they have said I've to now get a MRI scan at the end of the month. No CT results were given, is this normal?
Yes this is quite normal. My gp sent me for an ultrasound on my liver as my liver function blood tests were abnormal. This showed a 2cm mass on the liver. I was then referred under the 2 week urgent suspected cancer pathway. The following week I had a ct scan, then 3 days later I was rang to go and have an mri and an endoscope the beginning of this week. After the endoscope I was given a report, which said, mass on liver shown on ct. No cancer found on endoscopy, awaiting mri scan results. I had the mri last sunday. I have no idea when I will get the results of the mri, or how I will proceed now. Hoping will hear something next week.
