I'm sorry to hear that you're still waiting for answers about the lesion you've had on your gum for a while now. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious ahead of the biopsy later. 

Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for the results and the Consultant will be able to give you some reassurance about things. 

It's natural to think of the worst-case scenario whilst waiting for results. Try to keep busy and take each day at a time. If you can avoid searching google this will help reduce your anxieties as well.

Thank you for your message Jen. I guess gum/tongue cancer is not quite as common as some of the other cancers, hence the lack of a reply. And thank you too for the number to phone the nurses....I am starting to feel a bit lonely so may give them a call when I know a little more.
