persistent lump on jaw line

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone could share their stories in relation to enlarged lymph nodes.

I have had a pea sized lump on my jaw line for around 9 weeks now, which I received an ultrasound scan for today abs was told it was a lymph node and that there was another lymph node in my parotid which was swollen also.

background history is that I visited the GP 6 weeks ago after noticing the lump and had bloods done which were all normal. I had also been experiencing fatigue, night sweats (which I had put down to recently weaning my son off breastfeeding) feeling lightheaded and jittery.

I wasn't happy after a few weeks that the lymph node hadn't gone which is when I was referred for the ultrasound. Since being referred however I've began having weakness in my legs, I am still able to walk but my legs just feel strange and like they're not my own!

so after having this scan today all she really said to me was confirmed that they were two lymph nodes but im confused as to what that means and what happens next since I have no signs or symptoms of an infection to be causing these lumps for such a long period of time!

Any experiences or advice would be much appreciated in this stressful time

  • Hi Obaor and welcome to the forum.

Many of our members have contended with enlarged or swollen lymph nodes so hopefully some of them will be along soon to share their experiences and advice with you.

In the meantime, if you want to find out what happens next and what the confirmation of the lymph nodes means, it would be best to have a chat with your GP.

I hope they're able to clear this up for you and put your mind at ease.

    Kind regards,
