hi all,
I'm looking for some advice please. About a month ago I noticed my left nipple was looking particularly inverted (both nipples do come in and out however my left nipple was looking particularly sunken and much more often than I had ever seen before)
I monitored it for a couple of weeks with no change so I contacted my GP who said that coming in to feel it would be very superficial and she wanted to refer me for tests just to be on the safe side and get more of an image of inside, which I was happy with because I am a worrier!
I went to the referral centre today and they started by examining my breasts but said they both look the same and there is nothing to be felt and they don't think I need any imaging. I tried to emphasise that there was a change but they said nothing more needed to be looked at.
I am young and I know the chances of it being anything serious is very slim but i'm just a bit worried and would like some opinions, please? I don't feel completely at ease that there is nothing untoward going on just from an exam, especially given my GP saying feeling was superficial and imaging is what she would recommend. I don't know if I should push imaging more or accept that they are the professionals and if it feels fine it should be fine?
would appreciate any opinions, thank you in advance
