Uterine sarcoma query

Hi anyone

just had to have a pet scan as I have been told I may have a uterine sarcoma and have enlarged lung lymph glands. My fibroid is now 19cm, and started as 7, just three years ago. I'm very scared. Has anyone been in this situation before? 
All of my scans, over the last three years, etc have all been clear and only ever told it was fibroids but now it has a bulge in it and growing huge in the last 6 months.

    In 1year my fibroid has grown from 8ch to 18cm.

    I have been told it can be uterine sarcoma. How can they confirm this without surgery?

    Has anybody been in this situation. Any information would be appreciated.
