Post menopausal bleeding

Hi all

I am new to this forum and hoping for some words of wisdom...

I have been having post menopausal spotting for about 3 weeks now, with pain in my tummy and back. There is also non visable blood in my urine. I had a normal smear test 2 weeks ago and having a ultra sound scan tomorrow.

Could my smear be incorrect?

    I'm sorry to hear that you've had some post-menopausal bleeding recently. You've done exactly the right thing in seeking help from your GP and it's good to hear that your recent smear test was clear. 

    Hopefully, the ultrasound that you've had today will give the GP some information about what is causing your symptoms. Did the Sonographer say how long before the results were with the GP? Fingers crossed you don't have to wait too long.

    Hi Jean,

    Had my ultra sound scan today and the Sonographer said she will email my GP the results. If I haven't had a call in a week, to contact my GP. Does this sound like they found something? She thinks the bleeding is not from my womb as its only showing when I wipe myself after peeing. 

    I also had a urine sample sent to the lab last week to check for infection.

    I hope they contact me soon.
