High anxiety with ear neck throat discomfort

Hi

I have been struggling like many over the last few months with terrible anxiety that is keeping me up at night.

A bit about myself I have two young children and married and the thought of me having anything sinister is crippling myself.

I have struggled with health anxiety in the past but have tried my best to put it past me and enjoy life which is why I do not consult any medical advice such as gp or private consultations if my symptoms don't last more than 4-6 weeks.

However since last year I have been having throat tightness and sometimes difficulty swallowing. Since 2-3 months ago I have developed pressure in between my ears particularly the left ear every time I swallow my ears will pop/crack I do not suffer with pain but more dull pressure.

Around 2 weeks ago my most frightening symptom developed what I feel could be a swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck below my jaw and in line with my eye if that makes sense. It seems to be right on my pulse as I can feel it throbbing and pulsing it feels the size of a kidney bean. I did go to my gp about this but she said she couldn't feel any lump but she made me tuck my chin into my neck which I feel does not expose the lymph node enough.

Does anybody have any advice? Unfortunately my efforts and urges to not google my symptoms has failed and my symptoms point towards nasopharyngeal cancer or lymphoma I am prepared to pay privately for a nasal endoscopy even though money is tight as the symptoms are not letting up.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Stay safe everyone
