Hi Karolina,

I'm sorry you are going through this worry. Moles can change due to hormones when pregnant so not all changing moles are cancerous, however it's good that yours is getting checked out.

My niece had moles change during both her pregnancies. Because she has had dysplastic (pre-cancerous) moles removed in the past, the dermatologist kept an eye on the changing ones - they both turned out to be fine.

Hopefully yours will be fine or they may want to monitor it for a while. Good luck and please let us know how you get on,

Thank you so much for your response, I couldn't find much information about moles during pregnancy. I have Google and it's not good idea, I found this forum much better for my mental health.

I have read few of your responses and I must say- you do a great job to support that many people! It's brilliant and the fact you care and response to people like me who worry and know nothing is incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your kind words. I try to help where I can because melanoma still isn't as well known as other cancers like lung, breast etc, even though melanoma is now the 5th most common cancer in the UK. There is also so much information on the Internet, much of it conflicting, that it's not helpful for those worrying, like yourself. Talking to those who are going through it or have gone through it in the past makes it a little clearer and easier to understand so this forum is great.
