Lump on left side of neck 3/4 weeks

Hi I've had a small lump on the left side of my neck for 3 nearly 4 weeks . I have other things going on but was thinking they were related to menopause .
Not that I no if I'm even started my menopause. ( fatigue and hot flushing sweats in the evening and through the night.
I'm going to ring gp but feel like it's only going to be a phone appointment as my youngest child has had a lot of phone appointments this last year . I feel have of them have been wrong .

  • Hi Ash and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry about the lump you've found but you're doing the right thing by getting in touch with your GP about this.

As you've mentioned, telephone consultations do seem to be the first port of call since the pandemic started but if your doctor feels the lump needs further investigation then they should call you in for a face to face appointment.

Getting the most out of a telephone appointment can be tricky at times but I hope this list of questions on the NHS website just here will help.

Fingers crossed the lump is no cause for concern.

    Kind regards,
