Worried about colon cancer - bleeding and young.

Hello everyone, 

 

Completely new to this. 
female, 28, general healthy 

Suffered with IBS since a young age - not sure what exactly sparks it off 

Noticed bleeding in the bowl when emptying my bowels a few months ago. Went to the doctors and had a physical and was given suppositories and some cream to help a suspected haemorrhoid.
Bleeding did subside for a few months. 
 

Since last week I've been bleeding significantly again when going to the toilet, to a substantial amount. My bowel habits are much more frequent, I'm feeling like there's always something there (like it's not completely empty), bleeding every single time when going and soreness throughout the day. Also occasionally experience secretions of thick clear mucus. 
 

Planning a trip to the doctors on Monday.

    I got the same symtomps. Had a blood test and stool test. Everything is negative. But i can feel something is not right. Hope you get better

    Hi, 

    Just wanted to share my experience in case it was of any use. I had very similar symptoms over a couple of years that progressively got worse with bleeding every time I went to the toilet. 

    I finally went to the Dr and had a colonsocopy where they found 2 massive polyps. They removed them and sent them for testing and they were found to be totally benign. All my symptoms stopped instantly once they were removed. My bowel habits went back to totally normal straight away and no more bleeding.

    Going back to the Dr sounds like a good plan and they may refer you on for tests such as a colonoscopy. It's realy quick and easy and could solve your problems in the way it has solved mine. Hopefully your GP will be able to give you some good advice.
