I'm 25 years old, usually fit and well. For the past month plus I've been feeling extremely tired, an abnormal amount. I'm losing weight, sweating, lost my appetite, feel dizzy and unwell had fever of unknown location for 2+ weeks I've been into hospital and my bloods we're ok apart from low platelets 120 (should be 150) and low WBC less than 2 should be at least 4-6 I think. I've had 2 courses of 5 day antibiotics and nothing has made a difference ! I also have a big painless rubbery lump on my neck, just above my collar bone, went to my GP and he thinks I have glandular fever ? I have no sore throat, no tonsillitis and just one swollen lymph node where he said himself he'd expect bilateral swelling as a pose to unilateral. He's testing my blood for glandular fever and if it's negative he's putting me on a cancer pathway and has referred me for an ultrasound abdominal and neck but could take weeks. I just don't know what to do as I can hardly get out of bed I feel terrible.
