Doesn't seem right to wait 20 weeks for an appointment, l have an open appointment at the breast clinic and can ring for a 6 week appointment when l need one. I feel l have a season ticket as l have been twice this year already. I would contact go again or surgeons secretary 

I had a text sent to me saying why do doctors receptionist act like the are bouncer. Non helpfull and definately are under instrutions not to issue face to face appointments.  I had come out of hospital after an 8 day stay. for a drain of fluid from my stomach. I was discharged  on tuesday. but I had an appointment as an out patient later that day. everything was sorted including a district nurse to administer my injections. it was getting past the time of 1pm. I rang my surgery to inquire whether the nurse was coming.  this receptionist who took it upon herself to tell me I was not house bound.  I did say I was house bound having spent the last eight days in hospital and could not walk more than 20 yards before becoming breathless and in pain.  I was told to seek other alternative. and was hung up on. I rang back and complained but a different receptionist answered .  I did say I wanted to have it on record and passed to the proper administrive. I gave the name of the receptionist. then phone the doctor who had organised the call out.  I was told to leave it with them. within two minutes of the phone call from the hospital doctor,  I got a call from this gastapo receptionist who was non helpfull. she told me the email had only just been sent. I did not make it easy for her. as I know the mail was sent same day. and told her so. she told me the district nurse will be with me in less than half an hour.  Again I asked why all of a sudden  I'm now allowed a home visit when she was adament it was not possible.

It just goes to show if you don't question why they will just keep being unhelpful.
