Thank you so much for your message. I'm glad your first clinic visit went well and I'm sure your second will be the same, but it's always better to be safe than sorry! I wonder if it is down to certain deodorant etc as I know these can cause cysts or abscesses under the arm? I'm currently scaring myself reading about my symptoms, as I have pain in my arm now also... But I have my appointment through for next Weds 7th which is something. Please keep me posted too x

Hi, you're very welcome. It's such a scary time and I just want to help others as much as possible :happy:  The pain in your arm could be a placebo effect as you're occupied with the worry of the armpit. That is something that I get so much because I have hypochondria.

I'm so glad to hear that you got your appointment through so quickly! I got mine through today too and it's for Monday:happy: it's very scary and I fall into the same trap of googling things, but I promise you that it's not helpful.

Today was the first time in a while (I've been through this referral process three times:cry:) that I just allowed myself to have a nice time. It really did help! The worry was hanging over me and has made me cry so much, but we deserve to be happy. It's not our fault that something is going on (even though I'm sure you're okay). I'm sure yours will be fine as there's no lump or anything like that. It could be to do with the pill? When I went first time I had tenderness and they discharged me without concern, as I take the pill and I'm 21.

This time it is so scary because of the lump. I'm just hoping it's because of my covid vaccine, but I just have such a bad feeling about it.

Hey! Sorry I haven't replied, I'm so frustrated I haven't been in the best headspace to do anything. I hope your appointment went well and that everything came back fine. I completely understand the bad feeling... it often feels like GPs etc don't take you seriously either which makes it worse (at least at my practice!) My ultrasound showed nothing at the breast clinic.. however it's still swollen, plus the pains in my arm on the same side seem to be gradually worsening and that's also a bit swollen now. I know I shouldn't Google but with the swelling in my neck on the same side too I just don't think it's good and am concerned something is being missed! 
 

I have some blood tests next week so I hope to get to the bottom of it....

The specialist said that what I was feeling was a reactive lymph node (from the vaccine) that felt like a ridge because the node is hidden behind a strip in my arm. But less about me, I am so sorry to hear that you're not feeling reassured. It is really awful when you don't get the outcome that you were hoping for. I'm very glad to hear that your ultrasound was okay; I'm sure that would have picked up on anything untoward.
 

I do understand your concerns, though, as it is a worry when you still feel the symptoms even after being reassured. If it's any help, I once had a nasty mole on my neck and went to the GP. She said it was a wart and I was 100% sure that it couldn't be because (after researching) I found that the dots didn't add up. I had it all my life and for those warts they were not something you are born with etc. So when I got it removed I was sure it was going to be bad, and that she got it wrong, but it was still fine :happy:  

It's great that you're having blood tests because they will pick up on something if it's not right. Did they give you any suggestions as to what the pain in your arm might be coming from? I do 100% believe in the notion that when you pay attention to pain, that it is far more obvious and can even feel worse. I've got some cyclical pain in one of my breasts now and I notice it so much more when I think about it. 

do you feel your arm at all? I know with me that when I prod my breasts it makes them so painful at tender! You could have unintentionally bruised it? I'm also so sorry to hear about the swelling in your neck. Did you get that checked? I would say to try not and connect things up, as that's what I do and it makes me so worried. The swelling in your neck could be from a cold or a vaccine?
