Found a lump... Dr has referred me to breast clinic....

Hi All!

I found a lump behind my nipple this morning as breast was sore. I called GP who got me in to see him he felt my right breast and then my left as there is a diffence the left nipple behind is soft and squishy. The right one is rock hard and very sore. He was feeling the top of my right breast and said can you feel this so I felt it and it was a lump not the original lump I went in for he has made an urgent referral to breast clinic. So guess I just have to wait now but I am TOTALLY FEAKING OUT.  I lost my mum and sister to breast cancer plus both my aunties and my granma. I never thought I would ever be waiting for an appointment like this and worried it will take even longer due to covid 19 and I don't know how to stay sain till then.

    You must be stressing out big time which is understandable.  I know it's easier said than done but try not to stress too much just now.  It must bring back memories for you I'm sure and I haven't lost any relatives as close as you have but try (easier said than done) and do your every day thing for now.

    If you would like to chat then feel free to do so.  I'm in the same boat as you - 2 weeks and still waiting for an appointment.  2 years ago I had a fast complex tumour removed but it was non cancerous.  I think this one might be the same, but if not...well it will be dealt with I'm sure. 

    I know from my first experience it can keep you up all hours but please try and rest. x
