Is this pain normal?

I am currently awaiting a biopsy result (face to face appointment next week) for what was a suspected fibroadenoma. Aside from the crippling anxiety I've felt since receiving my appointment letter, I've also been getting sharp pain in the breast that I have the lump in. Is that normal for a fibroadenoma? I've had them before but never pain like this

Trying to stop my mind going into overdrive and reading too much into everything but I can't help it right now

  • Hi,

I'm sorry your going through all this.

I had a fibroadenoma diagnosed by biopsy a couple of years ago. I know many people say they don't hurt but that isn't true in my case - it definitely hurts depending on the time of month. I also get a sharp pain where the biopsy was taken - the dr thinks it's probably a tiny bit of scar tissue or nerve damage from the biopsy. I have very little breast tissue so perhaps I just feel it all more as there's no cushion.

So, I just wanted to say that the pain can be there and stil get a good result.
    Best of luck xx
