A very warm welcome to our forum, although I'm sorry to hear of your concerns. It sounds as if it would be worth getting referred back to the breast clinic to get this cyst aspirated. I am not a doctor, but it has possibly have become sore because it has increased in size. If it is of any consolation, pain seldom accompnies breast cancer.

I'm such a worrier and the fact that its changed so much in a short space of time has me paranoid that they got it wrong and it could be bad.

I'm definitely going to go back but the wait will be awful xx

I had a cyst in my right breast two years ago, it grew really quickly, it seemed that when I first noticed it, I just kind of felt something was a bit off, within two weeks it was extremely noticeable and very painful, when I was seen at the breast clinic they did aspirate it because of the size and pain. 

It was a very simple and quick procedure, it caused no issues after it was done.

I know waiting for things to happen is hard, but the relief from the pain and worry will be good.

And you can take comfort in the fact, that at the breast clinic they see nothing but boobs and armpits all day and will have taken a good look at your imaging, even if they were focused on your cyst, they would have still paid attention to the surrounding tissue and would have noticed if anything else was amiss. - In my case they also found a fibroadema which I had no clue about... 

Cysts are painful and can grow quickly so I hope that you can be seen soon to have it aspirated..

Cysts can grow, yet remain benign. Sometimes, if they are too big they can be removed. I'm hoping that this is all that has happened to you.

I know what you mean about the wait, but it shouldn't take too long and try to remind yourself that 'it isn't cancer until you're told that it is'.
