Hi,
My Son has just had his 6th awful infection in a year. This is abnormal as 3 of those times the whole household were isolating and there was no contact with anyone outside of the household and I'm starting to worry he has an underlying health condition and when I've been Googling everything is pointing to Cancer I'll explain more
Every time he is ill he has a sore head, sore throat, loss of appetite, extreme lethargy and high temperature with a negative covid result, but this last time was really concerning as he had a temperature as high as 39.4 that neither Calpol nor Nurofen would bring down then 2 days later it was 34.5 (thermometer tested and 100% accurate), I took him to A&E and it normalised by the time we were seen so we were just sent home, he also had severe night sweats and 4 nose bleeds
Besides the regular infections he suffers from:
Itchiness
Night sweats
Leg pain which was looked into and put down to sensory. He did have an X-RAY in both legs and MRI and CT in 1 leg as they found a tumour, but was told it was benign and unrelated to the leg pain
Nose bleeds about once every 1-2 months which does go on a little throughout the whole day
Feels the cold a bit more than what I would say is average
Only put on 1/2 lb in 2 months
Slightly low energy levels
Complains of bad belly about once a week
Some of these I put down to sensory related issues as he is on the autistic spectrum, but I’m not sure anymore
Doctors aren’t really interested, he had a blood test which showed high on monocytes and bacterial, but they think this was just down to the infection
I’m so fed up of doctors not listening to my worries, this surely can’t be normal. Any help, advice or similar situations would be massively appreciated
Thank you
