Groin lump

Hi,

I was just looking for some reassurance maybe from anyone who has experienced anything similar. My partner found a lump in his groin, it has grown in size (around 6cm long and 3cm wide) and there is a pea size lump underneath it. He went to the doctor who has referred him for an ultrasound. The lump is hard, painless and able to move around which is why the doctor has referred him. I was just wondering if anyone has had something similar and can shed light on any possibilities of what it might be.

Thanks

  • HI Tim,

My partner was referred for an emergency scan and it ended up being lympnodes severely swollen up due to a vaccine, a less common side effect. It took a few months but did end up going back down. I really would advise you to see your GP even if just for peace of mind and hopefully its lympnodes or something straightforward but it's definitely better to know whats causing it.

    Hope it goes well.
