Worried about results

Hi,

Hoping someone can offer advice! I have been experiencing intermittent nipple inversion and nipple pain for a few months. I am 34, had a Hysterectomy at 29 and been on HRT since. I spoke to a GP who referred me to the breast clinic. Consultant confirmed slight inversion, no lumps, ultrasound was clear and I was sent for an MRI to be sure. Results came in that I have swollen lymphnodes one side and a 'shadowy area of concern' on the painful boob.

Booked in for an ultrasound Weds on the lymphnodes and slighty scared i'm not ashamed to admit.

My mind has obviously gone to the worst case scenario

Thanks

  • Hello Bstar18,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. It won't be long now until your ultrasound on Wednesday and I hope that it will shed some light on what is going on. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting to find out more and it is normal to be feeling slightly scared.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online as it will inevitably give you worst case scenarios. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
