Sore throat..

Hi, i have sore throat from end of the march. I have a little white spots/dots on my tonsils too. In this time i got 3 different type of antibiotics nothing changed. Blood all clear. GP sent me to ENT doctor. I got my appointment on 23.06. He checked my throat for 30 seconds and sayd he is 100% sure there is no cancer. Then he checked with some camera little snake true nose and again all is perfectly, checked my neck with hands and all good. He put me on list to remove my tonsils, it can take up to 6 months. He sayd me 3times that im anyway too young to have a cancer. Im 32.

And i really want to believe that everything is good.

Ijust cant find my peace. I checking my neck every day since April. And today i faund little lump on my right side of neck. I know maybe its nothing. I feel very tired all the time and upset that now i need to wait 6month and live with this feeling till that. I dont know if ringing again doctor will be ok, because Ent doctors say to wait when someone will call me. Ihad so big hopes for this ENT doctor appointment to have someanswers whats going on but nothing..

  • Hi

well thats great news that you do not have cancer so you should be posiitive and smile. the smal lump can just be a lymph node reacting to any infection you may have. i also have a lump on my throat and had to have my tonsil removed - which believe me was not an enjoyable experience! but you do ge tthrough it. i am still under going tests because mine has come back as necrotising granuloamtous inflammation that manifests itself as similar to cancer but is not. the wait for anything is hard so you need to find all sorts of distractions but unfortunately the NHS is under pressure at the moment due to covid so you do need to have some patience - not easy everyone here will tell you this but you are on a waiting list because it is not cancer so from that side of things you should be pleased.

deep breaths, smile, the time will go before you know it! take care and keep smiling x any changes dont hesitate in getting back to your doctors x
