Back soon and breast lump

Hello all, 

never done this before so I hope this makes sense :happy: I have been suffering with pain in between my shoulder blades for 4 week, went to the hospital and was asked if I checked my breasts and need to have an MRI, I phoned my doctors to chase the MRI referral and also informed them that I have found a lump on my right breast. Today I have been examined and the lady found the lump and also noted that my arm pit on the same side is swollen. I have been referred to the hospital to for more tests, I am 34 and have two girls just generally feel like in my gut this isn't good :cry:.

any information or advice would be great

    Hello Annie, 

    I hope you won't have to wait too long to be seen at the hospital. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting to find out more.

    I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. There are some useful tips on this page on how to cope while waiting for news. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.
