I have had recurrent sore throat on one side for a year now and weight loss. My ENT did a tonsillectomy in november and the biopsy came back normal which was reassuring but the sore throat has continued so he has asked for a throat MRI which I did last week. He had looked inside my throat and could not see anything untoward so said the MRI was to be extra safe. I called to ask the results today and the secretary said they were back and she would call me today after she gets a hang of the doctor.

She called me 1h later to say he'd like to speak to me on the phone today at 4.45. Now I'm getting really worried as in the past when I've had normal pap smears or blood tests the doctor has been quite happy to email me securely or say over the phone or type a letter. Does the fact that he wants to speak to me means it is bad news?
